Today more than ever, this must prevail as we strive to develop successful scholars who truly reflect the diversity, equity, enthusiasm, and empowerment. Involvement and engagement heighten when people feel welcomed, seen, heard, and appreciated. The energy of any project soars when all are treated with dignity, respect, acceptance, and appreciation. Motlow State Community College is dedicated to student success. We are ever mindful that we must provide scholarly engagements that offer a diversity of thought, contribution, voices, and experiences as an institution.

    Successful Adjunct Recruiting Event

    Motlow State Community College is seeking adjunct instructors. Motlow recruits talented and effective educators as adjuncts. The College hosted a virtual adjunct recruitment event in early June. Collaboration between Academic Affairs and External Affairs resulted in approximately 300 potential applicants registered.

    TBR Awards Smyrna, Ingram for Philanthropy

    The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) recently announced its annual Regents' Award for Excellence in Philanthropy and Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Philanthropy. Nominated by Motlow State Community College, the Town of Smyrna was named as one of four Regent's Award winners; and Dr. Sam H. Ingram, Motlow's first president, was named among the 13 Chancellor's Award winners.

    Carole Garrison Memorial Nursing Scholarship Established

    The Carole Garrison Memorial Nursing Scholarship has been established at Motlow State Community College by her family and friends to honor Carole's dedication and service in the nursing field. Garrison was a 1981 graduate of Motlow's nursing program.
