Motlow Student Donates 1,200 lbs of Items to Student Pantry
When the call went out for food donations to Motlow's student pantries, Motlow student Eli Certain jumped into action. Unaware of the actual number of items they was able to contribute, their total donation was just over 1,200 pounds of food. Items ranged from fresh fruit and vegetables to shelf-stable snacks, milk, and even personal hygiene products.
Adam Boyd Awarded Chancellor's Commendation For Military Veterans
Adam Boyd, Motlow State Community College student and Marine Corps Veteran, was awarded the Chancellor's Commendation for Military Veterans.
Free Google IT Professional Certificate Training
Through a collaborative effort between Academic Affairs and Workforce's 'MotlowTrained' division at Motlow, community members can participate in free Google IT Support Professional Certificate training.
'MPower' Kicks Off at Motlow to Reduce Gender-Based Violence
Motlow received a grant from the Office of Violence Against Women that enables Motlow to develop and implement training, policies, services, and partnerships that will better enable the College to do its part to help reduce domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking throughout the region it serves.
Motlow Offers COVID Exception to Academic Fresh Start
Undergraduate students who have experienced academic difficulty can make a fresh start when returning to Motlow after an extended absence. Academic Fresh Start, a plan of academic forgiveness, now has a COVID Fresh Start exception to policy in place.
Motlow Student Davenport Awarded Sam H. Odom Nursing Scholarship
Daphne Davenport, McMinnville, received the Sam H. Odom Scholarship to use toward her nursing degree. The scholarship is awarded to one student at each of the Tennessee Board of Regents' (TBR) 13 community colleges each year on behalf of the Sam H. Odom Foundation Trust and TBR.
