Drop or Add a Class
Students receiving financial aid (federal grants, state scholarships, etc.) should notify the Financial Aid Office prior to dropping a class or withdrawing from Motlow. For some types of financial aid there is no forgiveness for lost eligibility.
If you are considering dropping any of your classes, please speak with an Advisor/Completion Coach in the Student Success Center. Dropping classes could be problematic especially if you are:
- Dropping to less than 12 credit hours if you are TN Promise
- Dropping to less than 6 credits hours if you are TN Reconnect
- Dropping any courses as a Dual Enrollment student
If you add or drop a class, after financial aid has posted to your account, it is
important that you notify the Financial Aid Office so that aid can be adjusted as needed.
