Foreign Language

Over the past century, the world has become more interdependent, and new technologies aid in collaboration with people all over the world. As relationships with countries grow, so does the need to speak a foreign language.

The Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree at Motlow prepares you for transfer to a university and is a Tennessee Transfer Pathway (TTP). TTPs enable you to complete your degree at Motlow and then transfer to any Tennessee public university, and several Tennessee private universities to complete your bachelor’s degree.

You can choose between French or Spanish as the area of emphasis. The A.A. degree is designed for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in one of the liberal arts disciplines or training at a professional school that requires a strong liberal arts background. Upon transfer, students who earn the degree generally major in anthropology, business, communication, economics, English, foreign language, geography, history, humanities, music, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion, or sociology.
