Digital Agronomy is the right choice for students want an associate degree only.


Digital agronomy uses technology, such as drones, sensors, and other monitors, and the data they provide, to make informed decisions and recommendations to farmers. Students will study conventional and regenerative agricultural practices, learn GIS mapping, precision agriculture, and the latest in crop management and irrigation practices. 

The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Entrepreneurship with a concentration in Digital Agronomy at Motlow State Community College provides students with the skills needed to successfully work in the field of Digital Agronomy. This program is designed for students who do not intend to transfer to a four-year institution. 

This concentration develops agriculture professionals equipped to support the technology needs of today’s farmers.

The Digital Agronomy program provides students with a foundation in both conventional and regenerative agricultural practices, with a focus on 21st century technology. 

While open to all students, this program is particularly designed to assist students who have received a certificate or diploma in a technical field such as those granted by a Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT). 

Digital Agronomy TCAT students can easily transfer into a degree program at Motlow. Motlow will recognize a student’s level of knowledge, either through industry-recognized certifications, prior learning assessments, or challenge exams.
