The Crisis Assessment & Risk Evaluation (CARE) Team exists to track behavioral issues of students who are identified as at-risk. CARE offers professional development for faculty and staff on when and how to report aberrant student behavior, recommend policies and procedures that encourage intervention, and assist in maintaining a safe learning environment.
How can I identify a distressed student?
- Has the student's personality changed?
- Has the student's behavior changed?
- Are the student's basic needs not being met (food, shelter)?
- What kind of support does he/she have?
