NSNA MISSION

The NSNA's mission is to organize, represent and mentor students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, convey the standards and ethics of the nursing profession, and promote development of the skills that students will need as responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession. The NSNA is an advocate for high-quality health care, and contributes to advances in nursing education; developing nursing students to lead the profession in the future.

MISSION STATEMENT: FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS

  • Convey the standards and ethics of the nursing profession
  • Encourage the development of skills needed to be responsible and accountable for nursing professionals
  • Promote the Motlow Nursing Program and the nursing profession to high school students in the surrounding areas
  • Support and uphold the highest standards of care in area facilities during clinical rotations
  • Mentor first-year nursing students through the Big Brother/Big Sister program
  • Implement through consistent actions, the high moral character, and sound principled decisions that place Motlow Nursing Students among the finest in the state
