SACSCOC Leadership Team Policy : 6:10:00:02

  • Responsible Officer: SACSCOC Liaison
  • Responsible Executive: Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs


The purpose of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Leadership Team for Motlow State Community College (Motlow State) is the following:

  1. Monitor SACSCOC,
  2. Monitor SACSCOC cycles and processes, 
  3. Coordinate and assign compliance certification and fifth-year interim report writing;
  4. Facilitate Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) planning, coordination, and implementation; and
  5. Keep the college continuously on target for SACSCOC reports and significant dates.


Membership will include:

  1. SACSCOC Liaison (Convener);
  2. Assistant Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness & Academic Technology;
  3. Assistant Director of Institutional Effectiveness (or appointed designee); 
  4. One member of the faculty (2-year term and appointed by the SACSCOC Liaison in coordination with the Chief Academic Officer [CAO]);
  5. One representative from the Student Success administrative staff (2-year term and appointed by the SACSCOC Liaison in coordination with the Chief Student Success Officer).
  6. CAO; and
  7. One representative from the Office of the President (as deemed needed by the President).
