Records Retention

Motlow State follows the records retention schedules set forth by the State of Tennessee Records Management Division, as approved by the State's Public Records Commission. To comply with the procedures and requirements of the State Records Management Division, as well as the State Public Records Commission, Motlow has established the following:

  • Designation of a Records Officer
  • Records Coordinators for each College Division/Department
  • Annual records destruction event
  • Records destruction procedures
  • A proprietary, College Records Management Database
  • Annual Records Management Training
  • Annual updates to Motlow Policy, as needed
