Aspen University Transfer Agreement

Motlow State graduates, with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing, can earn a BSN, MSN, and DNP at Aspen University. The program is 100% online, consisting of 10 courses with start dates every two weeks.

Motlow nursing graduates who have earned no less than a “C” grade in any course, have an unencumbered RN license, and meet the application requirements of Aspen University, will:

  • Be awarded 60 nursing course credits
  • Be awarded 30 general education transfer credits 
  • Be pre-approved for acceptance into Aspen University’s RN to BSN program
  • Receive a 10% tuition discount for the RN to BSN program

Aspen University’s RN-BSN degree requires a total of 120 credits: 

  • 30 general education credits plus 
  • 60 nursing course credits plus the 
  • 30 credits earned in the Aspen University RN to BSN completion program

Students who earn fewer than 30 general education transfer credits in Motlow’s Associate of Applied Science in Nursing need to:

  • Submit transcripts confirming the completion of the balance of 30 general education courses earning no less than a “C” grade in any course from other accredited institutions, or
  • Complete additional general education courses with a “C” grade or better at Motlow State, or at Aspen University, or at another accredited institution

*If applicant completed the above 30 credits with a “C” or higher, they receive the maximum liberal arts transfer credit.
