How to create a shortcut on your desktop

  1. Right click on an open area of your desktop
  2. Select New from the options listed
  3. Select Shortcut
  4. Click Browse to find the location of the application, folder or file for the shortcut link
  5. Select the application, folder or file you want to associate with and click OK
  6. The filename will appear in the location text box. Click Next if the file path is correct
  7. Enter the appropriate name for the shortcut and click Finish. The shortcut will now appear on your desktop
