What to Know for Spring 2021

What to Expect for Spring

Please continue to check your Motlow email for updates and return to this page periodically for the latest details on our plans and response.

On-Ground students

Coming to campus for an on-ground course requires you to follow specific instructions to minimize the spread of COVID-19. Only students with on-ground classes may come onto campus.

Every Day That You Come To Campus

  1. Before you leave home, or upon arrival in the parking lot, and before attending class, complete the Daily Self-Assessment, including taking your temperature with a thermometer. After you submit your answers to the Daily Self-Assessment, you will receive a response that tells you that you may proceed to campus or you may not proceed to campus
  2. Take the Daily Health Self-Assessment
  3. Bring a mask and wear a mask upon arrival to the campus
  4. Practice social distancing
  5. Wash hands frequently or use hand sanitizer

Stay home if you feel sick or have COVID-19 symptoms, recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19, have a fever, or if you have been told that you have COVID-19.

What you will notice when you come to campus

  • Fewer people on campus
  • Fewer students in classes to allow for social distancing
  • Everyone is wearing a mask
  • Water fountains are turned off - Bring water with you!
  • Vending machines are turned off - go off campus for food or eat a snack in your car
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers are located throughout the buildings
  • Libraries are open online-only
  • There are no seating areas in the buildings or outside where you can study or visit. When your on-ground classes end, please leave campus. If you have a break between on-ground courses, please leave campus, or you may wait in your vehicle for your next class
  • Signs are posted that remind you to wear a mask, practice social distancing, and wash hands frequently
  • Follow the signs on-campus directing pedestrian traffic flow.

Communication

  • If you are diagnosed with COVID-19, communicate with your faculty, and submit a Student Notification of a positive COVID-19 Test. Log into MyMotlow. Under the Student tab, select the Student Notification of Positive Covid Test form. Please fill it out. Stay home for ten days
  • If you are exposed to COVID-19, stay home and contact your instructors. Exposure means that you had recent close contact (less than six feet for 10 minutes or more) with someone who recently tested positive
