Revise the verbs in the following sentences as needed to correct any errors in

subject-verb agreement.  Do not change the tense.

 

1.  Each of the applicants for the sales position have been called for an interview

     next week.

 

 

2.  Eating healthy foods, drinking wine in moderation, and getting regular exercise

     contributes to the healthy lifestyle inherent in the Mediterranean diet.

 

 

3.  When a tornado or hurricane is approaching, people flock to sources of weather

     information such as The Weather Channel.

 

 

4.  There’s many reasons why a couple who has only been married a few years might

     still consider getting a divorce.

 

 

5.  Reading well, which is one of the necessary academic skills, make studying easier.

 

 

6.  Have Angela and Robert decided if they want to go hiking in the Smoky Mountains

     with us this weekend?

 

 

7.  This comment in the magazine article about The Rolling Stones explain many of

     their songs.

 

 

8.  Either the workers or the owner needs to make concessions to help end the strike as
