Advising Center
The Advising Center located on the Moore County campus is a well-equipped, adequately staffed facility where faculty, students, and community members can get information and materials about college admission, programs of study, courses, course and program transferability, and institutional policies and procedures. Students can also receive academic advice and assistance with course scheduling and program completion. The Center has a full-time director who coordinates advising services throughout the year including new student orientations and early registration periods. The Center is open Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Mondays. Students are encouraged to call for appointments.
Career Planning & Job Placement
Motlow offers career development and job placement services to all students. The director of career planning, placement and cooperative education assists students in career planning, including job-seeking strategies, employment interviewing, and resume preparation. The primary objective is to assist students in effective planning for employment which will develop into a satisfying career.
Disability Services
All students seeking assistance through Disability Services must disclose the presence and nature of a specific disability to the Director of Disability Services. Before receiving requested accommodations, students are required to obtain documentation of disability. Documentation may include records or written statements from a professional who is licensed to practice in the field appropriate for diagnosing and/or treating the disability in question--a physician, optometrist, audiologist, physical or occupational therapist, psychologist, etc.

Motlow State Community College is pleased to provide you with access to online tutoring provided by SMARTHINKING. With SMARTHINKING, you have access to one-on-one tutoring up to 24 hours a day from ANY internet connection - at NO cost to you. SMARTHINKING provides real people to work with you in a wide range of subjects including writing, math (basic math through calculus II), accounting, statistics, finance, economics, biology, intro human a & p, physics, chemistry, and Spanish. You can also submit your writing from ANY class to SMARTHINKING's Online Writing Lab for a tutor to review. The tutor will provide you with detailed, personalized feedback about your essay, typically within 24 hours. How do you get started? Health/Wellness Services
First aid, health screening, immunizations, health counseling, health information, health awareness activities and/or wellness workshops are available to students, faculty, and staff at all campuses at no charge. Flu vaccine and chemzyme are offered at minimal cost. The Student Health Center is located in the Gerwe/Doyle Health Services Complex next door to the Disability Services Office in Morris Simon Hall. A registered nurse is available for assistance during posted hours.
Testing Services
The Counseling and Testing Office provides a wide range of services to both the college and the community.
