  • ART 1030 / 3 credit hours
  • HIST 2010, 2020 / 6 credit hours
  • PSY 1310, SOC 2120 / 6 credit hours
  • Two of the following: BIOL 1110, 1120, 2010, 2020; CHEM 1110, 1120; PHYS 2010, 2020, 2110, 2120; or BIOL 1030 and either PSCI 1030 or GEOL 1030 / 8 credit hours
  • One of the following: MATH 1010, 1530, 1630, or 1710 / 3 credit hours
  • Area of Emphasis Requirements

  • One Year Sequence in Foreign Language / 6 credit hours
  • ENGL 2130 / 3 credit hours
  • ENGL 2330 / 3 credit hours
  • Electives from the following: ANT 2010, ART (excluding ART 1030), COM 1030, MUS 1030, IDS 1020 or PHED / 7 credit hours

  • Students who are planning to pursue licensure in secondary education at MTSU or TTU should take EDU 2110 and either EDU 1110 or EDU 1120 as prerequisites for admission to teacher education programs.
