This course is a study of animals in agriculture: body systems and development, principles of inheritance inheritance, fundamentals of feeding, the function of farm animals, animal sanitation, animal products, and the relationship to public health.
AGR 1020 PLANT SCIENCE FOR AGRICULTURE: 3 sem hrs cr
This course is a study of plant structure and the physiology, heredity, and environment in relation to growth, adaptation, and management of crops.
AGR 2100 THE ECONOMICS OF AGRICULTURE: 3 sem hrs cr
This course examines economic principles as they relate to agriculture and the place of agriculture and agribusiness in the national economy.
AGR 2340 FARM ANIMAL DISEASES: 3 sem hrs cr
This course is a study of commonly encountered diseases of farm animals (horses, cattle, sheep, hogs, and poultry), description of the diseases, pathogenesis, signs, and treatments. Special emphasis is placed on the on-farm recognition, prevention, and lay person treatment of farm animal diseases.
AGR 2990 TOPICS IN AGRICULTURE: 1-5 sem hrs cr
Selected topics in agriculture is a specially designed course for students interested in pursuing specific study projects under the supervision of a discipline instructor and approved by an advisor, the course instructor, and the Dean of Mathematics, Science, and Education. No more than six semester hours in topics courses may be used in meeting minimum degree requirements. |
