Emergency Medical Services Education

Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) save lives by responding to emergency medical calls and make critical decisions, including providing the initial care to the sick and injured. This program will prepare them to have the tools to save those lives. This is a fast paced, high-energy program and we expect our students to utilize those characteristics when they exit the program. The best emergency medical professionals are people who can remain calm in hectic situations they are detail-oriented, empathetic, compassionate, and systematic, and can be authoritative and directive if needed. Motlow State EMS Education will prepare you with basic and advanced skills to assist in the transition to the emergency workforce.

Mission Statement

The mission of Motlow State Community College EMS Education is to provide higher education that is intense, informative, and keeps the future EMS professional involved. We strive to provide a quality education environment for all of our courses. We will prepare our students to be proficient in knowledge, skills and the way they treat their patients and coworkers.

Upon successful completion of Emergency Medical Training, students are eligible to sit for the practical certification examination administered by the Tennessee Division of Emergency Medical Services as well as the written exam administered by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
