Motlow's Smyrna Center to Pilot New General Education Program
December 5, 2011
Motlow College officials have announced a new accelerated General Education program to begin at the Smyrna Center in January. Classes will be held every weekend throughout the year to allow students to complete all 41 hours of the general education core in just 12 months. The Friday evening and Saturday classes are scheduled to help working adults work toward a degree.
Charle Coffey, director of the education department at Motlow, said, "Registration is going on now and will continue until Jan. 4, for our pilot group at Smyrna. We are very excited to launch the program and hope students take advantage of the newest opportunity available in the education department." She also noted, "Students who take only two additional courses in each semester could actually graduate with an associate of art or science degree in 12 months."
Visit the college website <www.mscc.edu> for online registration of all spring semester classes.
