Motlow College's Alpha Xi Pi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) recently held an induction ceremony for its newest members. Alpha Xi Pi inducted a total of eight new members from all four of Motlow's campuses.

Middle row: Gregg Garrison, associate professor of biology and PTK advisor, Tiffany Rutherford, Lori Clark, Lucas Griffith and Dayron Deaton-Owens. Back row: Holly Campbell, Beth Kinser, Kyle Taylor, Dillon Tubb, Tanner Hills, Penny Crouch, and Calleb Capshaw.
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honors society at two-year colleges and academic programs. In order to be invited and inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, students must have completed 12 college credit hours at Motlow and have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

"We would like to welcome these new members to Phi Theta Kappa and encourage all students to join in on this wonderful opportunity," said Dayron Deaton-Owens, assistant professor of psychology and sociology and a McMinnville Center PTK advisor. "Any student interested in Phi Theta Kappa can contact their campus advisor to have their questions answered."
