Ms. Brothers is a graduate of Riverdale High School and has been employed as a certified nursing assistant since May 2012. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society and received the Outstanding Clinical Achievement Award during her first year in the Motlow nursing program. After completing the RN program at Motlow, Ms. Brothers hopes to continue her education to achieve her BS in nursing, specializing as an ER and trauma nurse.

Jan Casey Rogers, director of advancement at the Motlow College Foundation said, "We are very fortunate to have generous donors such as the Jarrells who value education enough to give not only scholarship dollars but also their time to serve as mentors for our students. As a nurse, Roni has worked in health care for many years and shares her knowledge with students as well as encouraging them when the going gets tough.

"Our nursing program is the most expensive program to run, which also means it is more expensive for our students," added Rogers. "Also, to keep producing the quality of nurses for which Motlow is known, we must keep up with the technological changes in the medical field so that our training remains timely. We depend upon the generosity of our donors for equipment purchases, scholarship funds and for buildings and equipment such as the new building on our Smyrna campus."

The Motlow College Foundation is a 501c3. To find out more about setting up a scholarship fund, contact Ms. Rogers at 931-393-1692 or email her at Visit the Motlow College Foundation online.
