The Motlow College Moore County campus recently selected Dylan Gilmer and Katlynn Maddox as Mr. and Miss Motlow for the 2014-15 academic year.

Mr. and Miss Motlow are chosen for each of Motlow's four campuses, with those selected representing the college at social and educational functions throughout the year.

Gilmer is from Hillsboro and studies computer science at Motlow, while Maddox is a pre-nursing major from Lynchburg.

Dylan graduated from Coffee County High School and chose to attend Motlow because of the myriad of educational and social opportunities that Motlow provides.

"I chose Motlow because of the availability of the computer science program I needed, along with an exceptional honors program and the advantageous teacher-to-student ratio," said Gilmer.

"Motlow is a great place to begin your college career as the course offerings are comparable to larger universities and there is something available to everyone from academics and athletics to the arts.

"I interviewed for Mr. Motlow because I wanted the opportunity to serve not only Motlow but the community as well," added Gilmer.

Katlynn attended Moore County High School and enrolled at Motlow because she felt it would help her achieve her educational and professional career goals.

"I chose to attend Motlow because it's close to home and a great step to starting my college career," said Maddox. "Motlow has given me the opportunity to further my education and to work toward the career I want.

"I wanted to be Miss Motlow because I love representing our fantastic college in any and every way," added Maddox.

Mr. and Miss Motlow are chosen for each of Motlow's four campuses, and Gilmer and Maddox will represent the Moore County campus at educational and social functions for the remainder of the academic year.
