Alice's Adventures in Wonderland will entertain children, students and adults at Motlow College

Rehearsals are being held, sets are being built and costumes are receiving their final nip and tuck as the Motlow College children's drama class prepares to present Alice's Adventures in Wonderland later this month, according to Emily Seal, instructor of speech and theatre at Motlow and director of the production.

Set work for the upcoming Motlow College children's drama production Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is continuing inside Eoff Hall on the Moore County campus. The production debuts on Oct. 30 and continues through Nov. 8.
Performances will be held on the Moore County campus in Eoff Hall for area school children as well as the general public. There is no admission charge to this event, which will last approximately one hour, but reservations are required and can be made by calling 931-393-1700.

Scheduled start times are 9:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, Thursday, Oct. 31, Friday, Nov. 1 and Thursday, Nov. 7. On Friday, Nov. 8, start times are 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The lone evening show is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Nov. 8.

This classic tale includes lots of word play and wonderful nonsense, as well as many of Lewis Carroll's iconic characters, including the Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts. In addition, it also features a number of lesser known characters, such as the clumsy White Knight and the bossy White Chess Queen.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland features the following cast members by order of appearance: Alice - Selina Luc, White Rabbit/March Hare - Lance Howard, White Queen/White Rose - Ashley Preston, Red Queen/Red Rose - Jeanna Anderson.

Card Soldier 1/Tweedle Dee - Kayla Bonner, Card Soldier 2/Tweedle Dum - Antenia Martinez, Knave of Hearts - Jarrett Summers, Caterpillar - Kurt Krausse, White Knight/Red King - Zac Collins, Cheshire Cat - Jessica Kilburn, Mad Hatter - Alex Czwal, and Dormouse/Alice's Sister - Ariel Upson.

The crew includes Emily Seal, director; Rachel Judge, stage manager; Mark Landrum and David Bethea, sound; Karl Huber, lighting; Kurt Krausse and Brian Robinson, set design; Sherian Oakley and Bobbie Underwood, ticketing and Debbie Zimmerman, house manager.
