Marchese Awarded Hall Scholarship at Motlow College

Rebecca Marchese, a first-year student at Motlow College, is the recipient of the Lindsay and Eleanor Hall Scholarship, according to Jan Rogers, director of advancement at the college.

Marchese graduated from Community High School this year and is the daughter of Tina and Ryan Marchese of Bell Buckle. She is studying education at Motlow.

"I am grateful I received this scholarship," she said. "It will definitely go far in helping me reach my goal and fulfill my dream of making a difference."

Lindsay and Eleanor Hall established the scholarship in honor of the Bedford County Farm Bureau for graduates of high schools in Bedford County. Mr. Hall was president of the Bedford County Farm Bureau for five years, a director for 52 years, and a member for 57 years. Mrs. Hall, a teacher, retired from the Bedford County School System.

The scholarship is awarded for two academic semesters, with $1,000 paid per semester. The Hall Scholarship and similar scholarships are awarded through the Motlow College Foundation. Anyone can contribute to existing scholarships or establish new ones.
