Constitution Day Forum Held at Motlow College
September 21, 2011
Constitution Day Forum at Motlow - Just as our founding fathers discussed and debated every word of the Constitution of the United States, educators at Motlow presented their differing interpretations of selected themes. From left, Dr. Donald Cheatham focused on the first two amendments; Dr. David Bowlby spoke of the religion clauses; Dr. Lucy Craig discussed the importance of the 4th amendment and its interpretation in the age of terror and Prof. Scott Cook, host of the event, talked about the constitution and compromise. Dr. Craig is shown answering a question from an audience member about racial profiling. The event was held in honor of the 224th anniversary of the Constitution and pocket sized copies of the Constitution, provided by Regina Burden, asst. vice president of student affairs, were distributed to all in attendance.
