Constitution Day forum at Motlow College to focus on Second AmendmentSeptember 4, 2013
A team of Motlow College professors will celebrate Constitution Day by leading a discussion, "Understanding the 2nd Amendment", on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at an interactive forum in Eoff Hall on the Motlow College Moore County campus.
The forum, sponsored by the Motlow College department of Social Science, will be held from 10:50 a.m. - 12:05 p.m. in Powers Auditorium.
Dr. Scott Cook, associate professor of history, will offer "Rights Talk and the Second Amendment: The Right to Bear Arms Then and Now". Dr. Lucy Craig, associate professor of criminal justice, will speak on "Constitutional Interpretation - Who Does It and How Do They Do It", and Dr. David Bowlby, assistant professor of history and political science, will present "A Historical Understanding of the Second Amendment".
There is no charge for this event and the public is invited to attend.
