"I love Motlow for becoming my second home full of people who push me past my limits and expect greatness from me," said Alexander. "It is the reason I want to continue my education here."
Alexander is currently employed at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and intends to pursue the Registered Nurse (RN) degree at Motlow before continuing on to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Emily and her husband Jesse have a two-year-old son, Ty.
"John and Martha Scarbrough are retired Motlow faculty who believe in education and have a great desire to help students achieve their dreams of an education,"said Jan Rogers, director of advancement at Motlow. "This scholarship opportunity will help Emily succeed in Motlow's spectacular nursing program. The program is the gold standard as it was recently accredited through 2023, while its graduates scored a 100 percent pass rate on the last National Council Licensure Examination."
