This year's event has been generously sponsored by First Vision Bank of Winchester, Tullahoma and Manchester; Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester; The Tullahoma News, The Herald Chronicle in Winchester; The Moore County News, High Mach, and Nationwide Express in Shelbyville. The Stan McNabb Automotive Family has once again sponsored the hole-in-one contest, which will include the chance to win a new car, as well as closest-to-the-pin and longest-drive contests. There will also be a special contest, the winner of which will win 50% of the contest proceeds.
All proceeds from the tournament benefit Motlow College students, primarily through scholarships including, but not limited to, honors, presidential, student government and athletic scholarships. According to Jan Casey Rogers, director of advancement, "The Motlow Foundation is a 501c3 and we depend heavily on the generosity of our sponsors and participants in this and other events that take place throughout the year for various student needs which are funded by the foundation. We would like this year to be our best yet, and hope everyone will participate or make a donation to the Motlow College Foundation to help us advance our mission to enrich and empower our students and the communities we serve."
This is a four-person scramble with prizes for three places in two flights. The cost to participate is $110 per person or $440 per team, which includes greens fees, cart rental, mulligans and lunch. Lunch will be served at noon and tee time is 1:00 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date is Sept. 27.
