The Motlow Bucks 2011-2012 men's basketball roster continues to fill out with the announcement that Collierville combo guard Sean Gardner will continue his academic and athletic career at Motlow College.

Gardner becomes the second Memphis addition to Coach Jerry Nichols' roster, following Hamilton forward Jeff Graham, who was announced as a member of the Bucks in July.

"Sean is a player who should bring lots of energy and an elite shooting ability to our team," said Nichols. "He is a very high basketball-IQ player, and I think he could provide an immediate impact at the shooting guard and point guard positions."

Contributing in all phases on both ends of the floor is Gardner's specialty, as evidenced by his averages of 21 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals per game. In addition, he hit 48% of his three-point shots during his high school senior season.

"Sean played in a tough conference (District 15-AAA) in Memphis," continued Nichols. "He had very impressive numbers in almost every game the Collierville Dragons played. He scored 32 points and pulled down four rebounds and four assists in the Tennessee vs. Mississippi All-Star game."

Gardner and Graham will join their basketball teammates, along with players from all of Motlow's sports teams, for Meet the Bucks Media Day scheduled for August 31, inside Motlow's Nisbett Center at the main campus in Moore County.
