Motlow's Fayetteville Center Invites Public to
Officials to Answer Questions about Adult College Express Degrees
(Adult College Express)
July 7, 2011
A program designed to provide educational opportunities for working adults will be the topic of an informational meeting to be held at Motlow's Fayetteville Center Monday, July 18 at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place in room 023 of the Don Sundquist Center of Advanced Technologies. Laura Monks, director of the center, said, "People generally have a lot of questions about the Adult College Express (ACE) program structured for a busy adult to attend classes at least one day a week to achieve a degree." She continued, "Through this meeting we plan to explain the different degrees available and answer questions from those seeking information."
Degrees currently offered at the Fayetteville Center through the ACE program include: a general studies associate's degree, the AST (Associate of Science in Teaching) and the recently added CDA (Child Development Associate.) In addition to the associate's degree offered for the latter, child care providers can also earn the Technical Certificate in Early Childhood Education that is embedded into this program.
According to Monks, another exciting announcement for Fayetteville's ACE program is the Center's first daytime program. She pointed out, "Some adults work evenings and need to be able to attend class during the day. This new time slot will also allow parents to participate in their children's evening activities."
Registration for fall enrollment at Motlow College continues through August 23 with classes beginning August 30. For additional information contact Director Laura Monks by email, firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 931-393-3000.
