Organizing EMS DonationsJune 28, 2012
Stacy Johnson, EMS program coordinator and instructor at Motlow College, is shown organizing recent donations made to the nursing program. Surrounding emergency medical services (EMS) have all contributed supplies to help educate the students. Those making contributions include Marshall County EMS in Lewisburg, Giles County EMS in Pulaski, Bedford County EMS in Shelbyville, Rural Metro EMS in Winchester and Lincoln Medical Center EMS in Fayetteville. Johnson said, "Hands-on training is an integral part of our EMT-IV program at Motlow and the donations recently made by these EMS agencies helps make this training a reality for our students." Registration is on-going through August 17 for the restructured EMT-IV course to be launched this fall. Students can become pre-hospital, emergency medical services providers in just one semester.
