Motlow College art program to debut 'Life Drawing' class during Summer Session IMay 19, 2015
The Motlow College art program will offer a new elective class this summer, according to Brian Robinson, department chair of art and humanities at the College. ARTP 2120, Life Drawing, will be available to students during the first-half summer session, which meets from May 26 - June 30.
Throughout the course, students will learn how to draw the human body from basic geometric building blocks, which will then progress to the human skeletal and muscular structures and a live model in various timed poses.
The class will meet at the Moore County campus in MT 130 on Monday - Thursday from 9:50 a.m. - 2:20 p.m.
There are no prerequisites for this college course and all skill levels are welcome, including non-art majors. Motlow will supply all art materials for the class.
Periodic breaks will be part of the class including time for lunch. The campus cafeteria is not open during the summer; artists are encouraged to bring their own food.
