Motlow State music department to present vocal and jazz ensemble concerts April 26 & 28

LYNCHBURG, TN (Apr. 22, 2016) ‐ The Motlow State Community College vocal ensemble and community jazz ensemble will perform at the free, annual Spring Concert on Apr. 26 & 28. The concerts will be on the Moore County campus in Eoff Hall, Powers Auditorium, according to Dr. David Bethea, Motlow music professor.

The Tuesday, Apr. 26 performance is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., and the Thursday performance is scheduled for 7 p.m., with pre-concert refreshments being served at 6 p.m. There is no admission charge, but donations are welcome and will help support the Motlow music department.

"We always look forward to performing the spring concert, and we hope we have a big faculty, staff, and community turn-out," stated Bethea.

The vocal ensemble is comprised of students, including Elizabeth Dye, Robert Frazine, Gabrielle Fulkerson, Chennye Hasty, Suzanne Herbs, Elizabeth Mercado, Christopher Smith, Kathryn Vincent, Joshlynne Williams, and Jacqueline Zebick.

The community jazz ensemble is comprised of both students and local musicians. Students include Brianna Blankenship, Larissa Bolin, Meagan Crawford, Casey Davis, Connor Lindlau, Xavier Northcutt, Caitlin Pilkington, and Joshlynne Williams. The local musicians are Vickie Collingsworth, John Cook, Kyle Copeland, Jason Gospodarek, Jon Hand, Amelia Honea, Charlie Vining, and Scott Young.
