Motlow Mathematics Club meets for first time

April 2, 2014

The Motlow Mathematics Club (MMC) recently held its inaugural meeting on the Motlow College Smyrna Center campus, according to Brian Mitchell, MMC faculty advisor and instructor of mathematics at the college.

Members of the Motlow College Mathematics Club recently held the club's inaugural meeting. In the front row, from left: Hannah Mitchell, Priscilla Nunez, Nayele Alamilla, and Daniele Rainey. Back row, from left: Mark Lamb, Ben Beckman, Zameeruddin Lodhi, and Troy Alexander.
"The club was founded to further the study of mathematics beyond the classroom and to promote mathematics as an integral part of students' lives," said Mitchell. "Students can find mentoring, meet fellow math enthusiasts and learn valuable information about academic opportunities, future careers, and the fascinating world of mathematics."

Although the first meeting of the MMC was held at the Smyrna Center, the club is open to all students of the Motlow community.
