Become an EMT-IV in One Semester

March 28, 2012

Students anxious to enter the emergency medical services (EMS) workforce can become pre-hospital, emergency medical services providers with Motlow College's one-semester emergency medical technician intravenous therapy (EMT-IV) course. After successfully completing 15 weeks of classroom, lab, emergency room and emergency medical services clinical, the student is eligible to become licensed for a career as an EMT-IV.

Motlow College Department of Nursing & Allied Health is launching a restructured EMT-IV course this fall at Fayetteville and McMinnville Centers. According to Stacy Johnson, EMS program coordinator, "Our program will help a college-ready student enter the workforce in a relatively short period of time."

Registration for the newly condensed course will begin April 2. In addition to meeting requirements for admission to the College, students will need to meet additional criteria to be admitted into the program. Visit the College website for additional information about the program and its requirements. Interested candidates can contact Johnson at 931.433.9359.
