Motlow Smyrna Center Science Students Study WildlifeMarch 23, 2015
The Conservation and Outdoor Recreation (COR) Club recently installed an artificial habitat in the woods surrounding the Motlow College Smyrna Center in order to attract native reptiles and amphibians, according to Kevin Fitch, assistant professor of biology and COR Club sponsor. This collected data is being studied in Fitch's environmental science course and will be published in the Tennessee Academy of Science and other peer-reviewed scientific outlets. Pictured here, students Christian Ransom, Alli Tallant, Hannah Fann and Nancy Andradi are catching Zigzag Salamanders (Plethodon dorsalis) in the new field labs at the Smyrna Center campus.
