The American Premiere of Carrie's War is Set For Motlow College
March 23, 2012
The play, Carrie's War, tells the tale of two children who are evacuated from London in 1940 to escape the bombing of World War II. Carrie and her brother Nick end up in a foster home in Wales with a less than generous shop owner. The two children struggle to stay away from the horrible man running the house, to stay together, and to survive the war.
Carrie's War will be performed on April 12, 13, and 14 at 7:30 p.m. and on April 15 at 2:30 p.m. The performance on April 12 will be preceded by a British Tea reception. All those who attend the Thursday show are invited to the tea sponsored by the International Education Committee. The tea begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission: $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Tickets can be purchased in the Motlow Business Office.
