Reception Wednesday opens Motlow alum Kurt Krause art exhibit in Eoff HallMarch 16, 2015
Motlow College welcomes alumnus and artist Kurt Krause back to the Moore County campus this week for a reception and art exhibit inside the Eoff Hall Art Gallery. The exhibit is called "Imaginary Fantasy," and features both two and three-dimensional artwork.
Kurt Krause's painting Bison is part of his art exhibit "Imaginary Fantasy," and will be on display at Motlow College inside the Eoff Hall Art Gallery on the Moore County campus from March 18 - April 1 and May - August.
"The contents of this show are inspired by the eternal connections of humanity to the natural elements of the world in which we all exist," said Krause.
The Motlow Student Exhibit will be featured inside the gallery from April 2 - 24, then Krause's exhibit will reopen May 1 and run until August.
"Kurt Krause's work lives on a rarefied cerebral plane consisting of otherworldly visions that bring to mind characters you might encounter in The Lord of the Rings and landscapes from Where the Wild Things Are," said Brian Robinson, humanities chair and Krause's former art instructor at Motlow College.
In addition to being an alumnus, Krause has assisted with many Motlow theatre productions, and will serve as the assistant set designer for the upcoming 2015 spring drama.
