Motlow College is preparing to welcome students, alumni, friends and supporters to the Moore County campus, Feb. 11, for their annual homecoming celebration. The event is sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA) and kicks off at 1 p.m. at Nisbett Center. Homecoming activities are planned around the Lady Bucks and Bucks hosting Roane State at Copperweld Arena. The women's game begins at 2 p.m. with the men's to follow at 4 p.m.

According to President Kate Lapczynski, "Several members of our club are also members of the Motlow Ladies Philanthropic Society. They suggested to our board that the scholarship funds from the Tullahoma Woman's Club Elsie Seals Scholarship Endowment Fund be donated to the MLPS."

The Motlow College Bookstore will have a variety of Motlow gear including clothing items with the Motlow logo for sale in the lobby. The store, located in the Forrester Center, is open to the students and staff of Motlow as well as the general public.

SGA will have gift baskets for donations and will sponsor a "Kiss the Buck" contest to take place halftime of the Lady Buck's game. All proceeds will benefit the local non-profit organization, 5 Loaves 4 Kids. Visit for additional information on the Tullahoma-based organization.

The Homecoming Court will be introduced during halftime of the men's game. Mr. & Miss Motlow from Moore County, Fayetteville, McMinnville and Smyrna will participate in the ceremony. Students voted for male and female candidates from each location to represent them in the homecoming court and will elect the Homecoming Queen and King from the court.

In the week prior to homecoming, Motlow students, faculty and staff are encouraged to get in the spirit by dressing up each day. At the Moore County campus, prizes will be awarded for the "best dressed" in the following categories: Monday - Nerd Dress-up Day, Tuesday - Tacky Wacky MisMatch Day, Wednesday - Favorite Sports Team Day and Thursday - Motlow "Green Out" Day.

The Fayetteville Center will sponsor corn hole toss, pool, ping pong, as well as outdoor sports (if weather permits) from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. in the front building game room. The dress code for each day is as follows: Monday - Day of the Dead t-shirts, Tuesday - Dress your Best, Wednesday - Pajama Day and Thursday - Motlow Pride Day with free lunch provided.

The McMinnville Center plans are: Monday is Wacky Tacky MisMatch Day where all are asked to dress according to the title and a prize will be awarded to the worst-best dressed. Tuesday is Flashback Day featuring attire from the 50's, 60's, 70's or 80's and weather permitting, team relay games will take place outdoors. Wednesday will be Hillbilly Hoedown Day where students are asked to dress the part and participate in Wii dance competitions. Thursday will be Motlow Pride Day where everyone will wear their favorite Motlow attire.

Homecoming is a great opportunity for families to spend a fun-filled day together at Motlow. The public is invited and there is no admission charge to homecoming activities or other athletic events at Motlow.
