Motlow College will celebrate Homecoming Feb. 8

January 30, 2014

Motlow College is preparing to welcome students, alumni, friends, and supporters to the Moore County campus on Saturday, Feb. 8, for the annual Homecoming celebration.

The Student Government Association (SGA) sponsors the event, which commences at 1 p.m. in Nisbett Center. Homecoming activities are centered around the men's and women's basketball teams hosting Walters State at Copperweld Arena. The women's game begins at 2 p.m., and the men's game follows at 4 p.m.

During the week of Homecoming, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the following dress up days: Monday - Restaurant Shirt Day, Tuesday - Tacky Tuesday Sportswear Day, Wednesday - Favorite High School Shirt Day, and Thursday - Motlow Pride Day.

The week of activities will culminate on Saturday with the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen at halftime of the men's game. Mr. & Miss Motlow representatives from the Moore County campus and the Fayetteville, McMinnville and Smyrna centers will participate in the ceremony by assisting, crowning and sashing the King and Queen.

Homecoming is a wonderful chance for families to share a day of fun at Motlow College. The public is invited, and there is no admission charge to homecoming activities or other athletic events at Motlow.
