Tullahoma Surgery Center (TSC) recently donated to the Motlow College Foundation in support of the nursing program at Motlow. Sherry Rogers, RN, CNOR, administrator of TSC, said, "We have several nurses working for TSC that were trained at Motlow. We have respect for the program and want to help foster the new generation of nursing students."
Registered nurses currently working at TSC who are
also Motlow graduates are: Michael Shelton, 1990; Kristen Barnes, 1998; Amanda Cobb, 2005; and Angela Mansfield, Natalie Frasier, and Ashley Murray, 2006.
Frasier said, "Motlow's program is hard, but it's worth it when you realize how much your Motlow degree is respected in the working world. With our training, we're ready to go to work, hands on, as soon as we graduate."
Rogers added, "The local medical community benefits greatly from Motlow's nursing program. If the school doesn't have the most up-to-date technology then we're not meeting the needs of the patients who expect the best."
TSC, located on Kings Lane, is locally owned by a group of nine doctors who are partnered with United Surgical Partners and St. Thomas Hospital. The doctors in the group are: Robert Collier, M.D.; Suzanne Collier, M.D.; Hunter Norris, M.D.; Gary Stevens, D.O.; Marty Fiala, M.D.; Joe Krick, M.D.; Dennie Crabtree, M.D.; Mark Blair, M.D.; and Jim George, M.D.
