Note: if you are having problems getting into any of the InfoTrac/Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL) databases below, click on the (TEL) portion of the link, and that should work (assuming you are on campus, or have logged into the proxy server from off campus).

Academic OneFile | (TEL)
Academic OneFile is a source for peer-reviewed, full-text articles from the world's leading journals and reference sources. With extensive coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subjects, Academic OneFile is both authoritative and comprehensive. With millions of articles available in both PDF and HTML full-text with no restrictions, researchers are able to find accurate information quickly. Access Science
Includes the current edition of McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology, with Research Updates from the Yearbooks and the McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms.

Applied Science & Technology Full Text (1983 to present)
Look here for fast, convenient access to the most important sources in applied science and technology—much of it from peer-reviewed journals. This database features full text, graphs, charts, diagrams, photos, and illustrations that convey an abundance of data in scientific and technical articles. Full Text coverage for selected periodicals is also included. This database is part of the Wilson OmniFile set.

Art Full Text (1984 to present)
This database offers full text plus abstracts and indexing of an international array of peer-selected publications—now with expanded coverage of Latin American, Canadian, Asian and other non-Western art, new artists, contemporary art, exhibition reviews, and feminist criticism. Full-text coverage for selected periodicals is also included. In addition to articles, Art Full Text indexes reproductions of works of art that appear in indexed periodicals. Art Index Retrospective (1929-1984)
An invaluable, in-depth record of contemporary art history, Art Index Retrospective allows users to search 55 years of art journalism at a keystroke. ARTstor
ARTstor provides collections of art images for educational use, including paintings, drawings, objects, photographs, and art history. Note: ARTstor will function much better if the user will disable Pop-Up Blockers before doing their search. For instructor privileges, instructors may send an email to library@mscc.edu for the authorization code.

Biography Resource Center | (TEL)
This database combines award-winning biographies from respected Gale Group sources. Biography Resource Center also includes full-text articles from hundreds of periodicals. Search for people based on one or more personal facts such as birth and death year, nationality, ethnicity, occupation or gender, or combine criteria to create a highly-targeted custom search. Biological & Agricultural Index Plus offers researchers convenient online access to the core literature of biology and agriculture—much of it from peer-reviewed journals—plus full text. Full text citations also link to PDF page images, featuring graphs, charts, diagrams, photos, and illustrations indispensable to science research. This database is part of the Wilson OmniFile set.

Chronicle of Higher Education
Chronicle of Higher Education is the No. 1 source of news, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators. Online, The Chronicle is published every weekday and is the top destination for news, advice, and jobs for people in academe. This access is made possible through a cooperative, joint purchase of the Tennessee Board of Regents libraries.

CINAHL
CINAHL, with Full Text is the world's most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for more than 520 journals indexed in CINAHL. This authoritative file contains full text for many of the most used journals in the CINAHL index - with no embargo. With full-text coverage dating back to 1982, CINAHL with Full Text is the definitive research tool for all areas of nursing and allied health literature.

Civil War Research Center
The Motlow College Civil War Research Center exists for the purpose of collecting material relating to all aspects of life in the area of southeastern Middle Tennessee, the area served by the college, from the period 1860-1866. These electronic archives are made available by Motlow College with the support of gifts to the Motlow College Foundation.

Classical Music Library
Classical Music Library is a fully searchable classical music resource—a comprehensive database of distinguished classical recordings. It includes tens of thousands of licensed recordings that users can listen to over the Internet. The audio selections are cross-referenced to a database of supplementary reference information. Health Source: Nursing/Academic
This database provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition also features abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. This database is updated twice a week.

ACLS Humanities E-Book
A collection of over 1500 E-Books. These are works of major importance to humanities studies—books that remain vital to both scholars and advanced students, and are frequently cited in the literature. Formerly, the History E-Book Project.

Hot Topics
A listing of websites that cover hot topics, or controversial subjects, i.e. abortion, death penalty, gun control, as well as sites such as the ACLU.

JSTOR
The JSTOR database consists of complete backfiles of core scholarly journals which have been digatized, starting with the very first issues. Over 4 million pages are now available and new titles are being added constantly. Coverage: varies--back to first year of publication.

Junior Edition | (TEL)
Formerly SuperTOM Junior, this periodical database is designed for students in junior high and middle school, with magazines, newspapers and reference books (most are full-text) for information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports and more.

Kids InfoBits | (TEL)
Kids InfoBits meets the research needs of students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. Learning Express Library
Provided by TEL, Learning Express Library is a comprehensive, interactive online learning platform of practice tests and tutorial course series designed to help students and adult learners succeed on academic or licensing tests. It provides immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and an individualized analysis of test results for civil service exams, GED, ACT, SAT, and many others. A username and password must be created by the user the first time they log in.

Lexis-Nexis
Use for general research of articles in periodicals, journals and newspapers. Includes transcripts of radio and television programs. Also covers subjects such as company and industry news, medical information and legal news, country profiles, full-text of the New York Times and much more.

Literary Index
This site indexes the Gale Group literary criticisms that are in print and are currently housed in the reference collections at the Main campus, McMinnville, and Fayetteville Libraries. This index is searchable by author, title and custom search, and works like a master index to the whole print collection. It does not provide the articles, but rather shows where they may be found in the print volumes.

Literature Resource Center
Access biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of more than 120,000 authors from every age and literary discipline. Scribner Writer's Series includes 15-20 page signed essays on more than 1,600 authors and literary genres drawn from 13 acclaimed Scribner print series. Twayne World, US, and English Authors each contains the full text of 200 frequently used Twayne Literary Masters books on individual World, US, or English authors, for a total of 600 full-text titles. MagPortal.com
A free site that indexes full-text articles from over 150 online periodicals that are not included in standard library commercial databases and some that may not be found by standard Web search engines.

National Newspaper Index | (TEL)
National Newspaper Index provides quick access to the indexing of America's top five newspapers in one seamless search: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post.

NetLibrary
netLibary is a database that offers a collection of over 53,000 eBooks. You must create an account from a Motlow location to access the eBook collection.

Nursing & Allied Health Comprehensive
Designed for nursing and allied health professionals, students, educators and researchers, this database provides full text for nearly 400 journals covering the areas of nursing, biomedicine, health sciences, consumer health and allied health disciplines. Nearly all full text titles included in Nursing & Allied Health: Comprehensive Edition are indexed in CINAHL.

Opposing Viewpoints | (TEL)
Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center draws on the acclaimed social issues series published by Greenhaven Press, as well as core reference content from other Gale and Macmillan Reference USA sources to provide a complete one-stop source for information on social issues. Points of View Reference Center by EBSCOhost
Points of View Reference Center(tm) is a full-text database designed to provide students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of a current issue. The database provides 200 topics, each with an overview (objective background/description), point (argument) and counterpoint (opposing argument).
