Pre-Engineering (Electrical)

Associate of Science (TTP) Degree Checklist

Program Description

The Associate of Science degree program for Electrical Pre-Engineering is designed to prepare students for successful transfer to a four-year college or university. This degree path is a great choice for students interested in pursuing a career in electrical engineering or similar career path. In addition to core curriculum, the Pre-Engineering program introduces students to the following:
  • a study of matrices, systems of linear equations, determinants, vectors, vector spaces, eigenvalues, eigenvectors and other selected topics
  • a study of differentiation and integration or trigonometric, inverse trigonometric, logarithmic and exponential functions and integration techniques
  • a study of ordinary differential equations with applications, numerical solutions, power series and LaPlace transforms
  • an introduction to circuit analysis including Kirchoff's Laws, circuit theorems, CD circuit analysis phasors, AC circuit analysis and transient response to dynamic circuits
  • an overview of digital computer analysis of electrical circuits
  • and more interesting and dynamic course material to prepare students for successful transfer to a four-year baccalaureate program
