Associates of Science (TTP) Degree Checklist

Program Description

The Associates of Science degree program for Civil Pre-Engineering is designed to prepare students for successful transfer to a four-year college or university. This degree path is a great choice for students interested in pursuing a career in civil engineering or similar career path. In addition to core curriculum, the Pre-Engineering program introduces students to the following:

a study of matrices, systems of linear equations, determinants, vectors, vector spaces, eigenvalues, eigenvectors and other selected topics
an introduction to probability and statistics
a study of differentiation and integration or trigonometric, inverse trigonometric, logarithmic and exponential functions and integration techniques
a study of ordinary differential equations with applications, numerical solutions, power series and LaPlace transforms
a study of particle kinematics, kinematics of rigid bodies, absolute and relative motion, kinetics, applications of Newton's Laws and other scientific principles
a study of vector algebra, resultants, equilibrium, friction, centers of gravity, centroid, moments of inertia, statics of particles and analysis of structures
and more interesting and dynamic course material to prepare students for successful transfer to a four-year baccalaureate program
