Embedded Certificate of Credit Degree Checklist

The Business Infomation Systems Certificate of Credit is for students who are interested in learning basic information systems software used in the business environment and who wish to acquire a fundamental understanding of software packages used for accounting and other data processing activities.

Program Description

Students will learn basic information systems software used in a business environment
Students will acquire a fundamental understanding of the software packages used in basic accounting and other business data processing activities

Practical Experience

Introduction to basic applications on the microcomputer
Develop a working knowledge of basic terminology, concepts, editing and formatting commands in word processing, spreadsheet and database management software

Our Embedded Certificates of Credit when completed as part of an overall education path toward Associates Degree completion, can qualify students for eventual transfer to any one of Tennessee's four-year college or university programs. Completion of a four-year baccalaureate program prepares you for a career! Entry-level business careers may include:
