Associates of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree Checklist
This program is designed for students desiring a two-year, non-transfer degree program designed to prepare them to enter the workforce, sustain their career, or seek career growth opportunities in the field of business management.
Program Description
- Students will gain a broad academic foundation in business
- Students will prepare for mid-management and junior level positions in business administration
- Students will be gain exposure to basic business management and marketing concepts
- Students will participate in career development and review steps for searching for and securing a job
Practical Experience
Through participation in this program, students will enhance and/or gain proficiency in certain terminology and skills
- A review of basic business software applications like word processing, spreadsheet and database management
- An introduction to basic human resource functions including personnel recruitment, selection and training
- In-depth study of small business management using actual Case Studies for emphasis
- Introduction to the basic accounting, economic and legal aspects of day-to-day business
