Coffey Cans Buzzer Beater Channing Coffey nailed a three pointer as the buzzer sounded to rescue the inconsistent Motlow Bucks as the home team won a 72-69 thriller over Northwest Shoals Thursday night at Copperweld Arena. The Lady Bucks dropped a 75-54 decision. Both teams host Volunteer St. on Saturday, Nov. 22, with tipoff scheduled for 2pm.The Lady Bucks (2-0, 4-4) were led by Kiera Nelson's 17 points in their loss to the visiting Lady Patiots. The Bucks (1-1, 4-2) were led in scoring by Tim Williams with 21 points, including 14 in the second half. |

The Motlow Bucks saw their disappointing 2008 diamond campaign come to a close when they suffered a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Southwest Tennessee in a play-in contest at the TJCCAA/Region VII baseball tournament in Columbia, TN. Motlow completes the season with a 5-20 record in the conference and a 11-35 overall record. |
The student-athletes are Kasie Meeks, freshman from Coffee County, 4.00 GPA and has not made a "B" at Motlow; Megan Hemmingsen, sophomore from Clarksville, 3.786 GPA and an overall GPA of 3.750. Upon graduation she signed a softball scholarship with Trevecca. And Sloane Brooks, freshman from Lincoln County, 3.625 GPA and an overall GPA of 3.813. |
