Save the Date for Career Fair at Motlow
April 18, 2011
Motlow College's courtyard on the Moore County's campus will be converted to a networking center April 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as the College hosts their annual Career Fair for students, businesses and area citizens. The Motlow College Career Planning and Placement department will roll out the red carpet for students and job seekers alike as employers from several different businesses will be on hand to possibly choose their future employees. In the event of inclement weather the event will be relocated to the Copperweld Arena in Nisbett Center.
Whether your field of interest is banking, engineering, health care, manufacturing, retail, military or beauty care there could be something for everyone at this year's event. "Over 30 area employers should have booths set up according to the rate they are confirming right now," according to Tom Dillingham, director of career planning. He continued, "It's a great opportunity for all involved to make those ever-important, one-on-one connections; and what better setting than a college where students have been prepared to succeed in the workforce and potential employers are looking for quality candidates."
Trevecca Nazarene University will be giving away hotdogs and drinks for those in attendance to celebrate ten years of partnering with Motlow. Trevecca's MHR program provides an opportunity for adults to earn a bachelor's degree at the Moore County campus.
Some of the businesses confirmed for the event are: American City Bank, Ascend Federal Credit Union, Fayetteville College of Cosmetology, Hamilton-Ryker Group, O' Charley's, Skills Development Services, Social Security Administration, Franke Foodservice Systems, Inc., Jacobs Engineering, Life Care Center of Tullahoma, Family Video, Student Temp Employment Program (AEDC), Primerica Financial Services, Armed Forces Recruiting, National Pen Corporation, Rock-Tenn Mfg, Hospice Compassus and Douglass Chiropractic.
There is no pre-registration or fee required for students or members of the community to attend. Professional dress is suggested and job seekers should bring copies of their resume.
